1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using LegalLens ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use LegalLens. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

3. Nature of Service

LegalLens is an AI-powered legal information tool. It is critical that you understand:

NOT Legal Advice: All information is general in nature and provided for informational purposes only.
NOT a Substitute: The App does not replace consultation with a qualified, licensed attorney.
No Attorney-Client Relationship: Using the App does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and LegalLens or any affiliated party.
No Guarantee of Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, laws change frequently and vary by jurisdiction. Information may be outdated or incomplete.
Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for any decisions or actions taken based on information provided by the App.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Rely solely on the App for legal decisions with significant consequences
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code
Use automated tools to access the service
Share your account credentials with third parties

5. Subscriptions and Payments

LegalLens offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEGALLENS AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR LEGAL OUTCOMES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LegalLens from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App are owned by LegalLens and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
